A clear and fair agreement for using the LiquidPay platform. We've written this to be read, not archived.
Effective Date: April 1, 2025
Platform Operator: LiquidPay Africa Ltd.
LiquidPay is a financial technology platform, not a bank or money service business. We provide the technology layer that connects users to licensed financial partners who execute payment transfers between Nigeria (NGN) and South Africa (ZAR). By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept this structure.
To use LiquidPay, you must:
When you initiate a transfer, you authorize LiquidPay to instruct our licensed financial partners to debit your local account and credit the recipient's account in the destination currency. The exchange rate and fee displayed at the time of confirmation are final and locked in for that transaction.
Transfers are generally irreversible once confirmed. Do not initiate a transfer unless you are certain of the recipient details and amount.
LiquidPay charges a flat 1.5% spread on all transactions. This is calculated on the send amount and is deducted before conversion. There are no additional SWIFT, correspondent bank, or intermediary fees.
The exchange rate displayed is based on the live mid-market rate adjusted for our 1.5% spread. Rates are refreshed in real-time on the platform. The rate you confirm is the rate applied to your transfer.

LiquidPay reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reasonable grounds to believe you are in violation of these terms, engaged in prohibited activities, or where required to do so by a licensed partner or regulatory authority. We will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
LiquidPay is a technology intermediary. Our liability is limited to losses directly caused by our own platform errors. We are not liable for delays or errors caused by our licensed financial partners, bank processing times, or events outside our reasonable control.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to LiquidPay Africa Ltd. in the jurisdiction of its incorporation. Disputes shall be first attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation before escalation to the appropriate legal forums.
We may update these Terms of Service as our platform or regulatory requirements evolve. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes. Continuation of use after this period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
